Description: The Division of Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology within the Department of Supportive Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston, Massachusetts is currently accepting applications for a full-time Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellow (September 2025-August 2026). The DFCI is a federally designated, comprehensive cancer center and teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS) with a longstanding commitment to psychology training. Fellows maintain outpatient clinical privileges at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at DFCI, inpatient clinical privileges at Boston Children’s Hospital, and an academic appointment through the Department of Psychiatry at HMS.
The Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellowship Program in Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology is designed for candidates who have received internship training in pediatric or child psychology and who are interested in pursuing a career in pediatric psychosocial oncology. Fellows participate in a full range of didactic training experiences that promote clinical, academic, and professional skill development. Attendance at other educational activities at the many Harvard-affiliated medical institutions in the Longwood Medical Area, such as psychiatric and medical grand rounds, is encouraged.
Fellowship opportunities include:
• Clinical assessment, intervention, and consultation across the trajectory of care
• Integration within one or more multidisciplinary pediatric teams: Heme Malignancy, Neuro-Oncology, Stem Cell Transplant & Cellular Therapy
• Psychosocial screening and consultation in one or more outpatient specialty clinics: Genetic Predisposition Clinic, Neuro-Oncology Survivorship Clinic, SCT Long Term Follow-up Clinic
• School consultation and liaison services for survivors of pediatric cancer and blood disorders
• Protected time to develop and implement clinical programs and/or to participate in ongoing academic projects

• Graduation from an APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
• Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship
